Panellists: Ryan Hannah, Founder & Managing Director, SDLT Compass / David Bridge, Director & Head of Conveyancing, Kiteleys Solicitors / Louise Wise, Head of Property Tax, Post Complete
We are in the middle of the Tax Adviser registration period. The big question is, once registered how do you proceed? Keep it fully in house, outsource complex transactions to experts, or outsource fully. This panel session brings together experts who will unpick the latest guidance and what it means in practice. The discussion will also weigh up the pros and cons of outsourcing SDLT advice, examining where the risks lie, what the benefits can be, and how firms can ensure they are protecting both their clients and themselves. A practical session for any practice handling residential or mixed-use transactions.
Fewer requisitions help conveyancers increase profitability, strengthen their reputation, and deliver faster registrations for customers and lenders
Chair: Chris Harris, Founder & CEO, Collaborative Conveyancing
Panellists: Dr Roger Holdom, Customer Market Strategy Lead, HM Land Registry / Adil Hamid, Co-Founder and Director, Auxilio / Simon Black, Technical Property Director, Taylor Rose MW / Epi Pearce, Risk Manager, Nationwide Building Society
Minimising requisitions is fundamental to reducing time and costs for conveyancers post completion registrations, while strengthening a high-performance reputation with lenders. Firms that consistently achieve lower requisition rates benefit from smoother transactions, improved client experience, stronger operational efficiency, and greater confidence from lender panels.
Drawing on the latest HMLR data, this session will explore the most common types of requisitions, the factors that contribute to them, and the practical steps firms can take to improve submission quality and reduce avoidable delays from technology to free HMLR Training.
Lenders will discuss how they view requisition performance in volume and speed of answers as part of broader quality and risk assessment, and why strong requisition management and reduction is increasingly recognised as a marker of an efficient, well-run conveyancing practice.
A practical, data-led and solutions-focused session for fee earners, team leaders and compliance professionals alike.
From Announcements to Adoption: What a Digital Sales Ready Process Really Means for Law Firms
Chair: Laura Cartwright, Partner, Bell Lamb & Joynson
Panellists: Nick Chadbourne, Chief Operating Officer, LMS / Jean Coughlan, Home Conveyancing Director, Connells Group / Tom Chaplin, Senior Product Owner, Lloyds Banking Group
This panel moves beyond the headline announcement to explore what this shift really means in practice for law firms.
Bringing together leaders from lending, estate agency and network infrastructure, the discussion will examine why now is the moment for change, what sets this initiative apart from others, and why conveyancers are central to making it work.
Panellists will discuss how the new approach re-sequences the transaction, capturing and sharing data earlier in the process to reduce duplication, delay and risk for all stakeholders, while creating a smoother, more transparent experience for customers at every stage of the process.
A key focus will be accessibility and adoption, exploring how law firms can engage confidently, overcome common blockers, and understand where real value is created today and how that value will evolve as the model matures.
