The Bold Legal Group is thrilled to announce that Mark Evans, Vice President of the Law Society of England & Wales, will be taking part in a keynote Q&A at our upcoming Conveyancing Conference on 11th June.
Mark Evans, admitted as a solicitor in 1995, brings over 28 years of experience in high street practice, specialising in property and private client work. In 2021, he transitioned to academia and is now a lecturer at the University of Law, teaching real estate, private client, and professional skills across its Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester campuses.
Since joining the Law Society Council in 2015, Mark has represented North Wales, chaired the Wales Committee (2017–2021), and served on the Law Society Board and the National Board for Wales. A past President of the Cheshire & North Wales Law Society (2014), Mark will begin his term as President of the Law Society of England & Wales in October 2025.
Outside of his professional career, Mark is an avid marathon runner who raises funds for dementia and baby loss charities. He also founded LegalRunner, a social running group connecting members of the legal community.
“Having spent decades in High Street practice before moving into academia, I recognise what an incredibly busy and challenging time it is for the conveyancing profession,” said Law Society of England and Wales vice president Mark Evans. “As I prepare to embark on my year as Law Society president, there is so much to talk about, and this conference is a key opportunity for me to share my thoughts and hear from others about the future of conveyancing.”
Mark will join Rob Hailstone, Founder and CEO of the Bold Legal Group, for a Q&A on 11th June. Together, they will delve into Mark’s career journey and current insights on pressing issues for the profession and wider industry. They will also discuss his vision for the future of conveyancing as he prepares for his presidency. Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask their own questions and share comments.
